EMB Machining Services is an independent precision job shop in Whitney, Pennsylvania. We machine parts to your print, inspect them ourselves, and stand behind what leaves the building.
Our story
Experience backed by modern equipment.
EMB Machining Services has been cutting metal in Westmoreland County since 2001. What started as a small job shop is now an ISO 9001:2015 certified and SBA-Certified WOSB operation running late-model HAAS, Mazak, and Mori Seiki equipment alongside a 2025 Mitutoyo CMM.
The growth has been deliberate rather than dramatic. Profit went back into equipment and into people, which is why the machine list reads like a timeline — a 2014 HAAS VF-3 still earning its keep next to machines bought in 2023, 2024, and 2025.
Across the floor, the team brings 75 years of combined machining experience.

Our people
Experience passed down on the shop floor
There is a well-documented shortage of skilled machinists in this country. Our answer has been to train them — which is also why capacity here is something we can grow rather than something we have to go shopping for.
Journeyman machinists
Experienced machinists and CNC operators who know what to watch for and how to catch problems before they turn into bad parts.
Apprenticeships
We take part in apprenticeship programs and training centers across Western Pennsylvania, helping bring new machinists into the trade.
Skills that carry over
Manual mills and lathes still run here alongside the CNC machines. Understanding feeds, speeds, and how different materials behave helps our machinists make better decisions on the CNC side.

We sit between Latrobe and Greensburg in Westmoreland County, roughly 40 miles east of Pittsburgh. Our location makes it easy for customers throughout Western Pennsylvania to drop off parts, visit the shop, or meet with us about a job.
