Before you send it over
What buyers usually want to know before they send a print to a shop they have not used before.
A drawing or 3D model, material, quantity, and any important tolerances are usually enough to get started. If you know when you need the parts, include that too. If you only have a sample part, give us a call — we may be able to work from that.
Both. We work on everything from one-off parts and prototypes to repeat production work. Prototyping and 3D mold work have been a part of EMB since the shop started.
It depends on the part, material, feature, and machining process. Send us your print with the critical dimensions and tolerances called out and we'll let you know if it's a good fit for our equipment.
Yes. EMB is ISO 9001:2015 certified and an SBA-Certified Women-Owned Small Business (WOSB). We are also registered in SAM.gov for federal contracting under CAGE code 16DD1. Certification documentation is available on request.
Yes. Inspection is handled in-house with our 2025 Mitutoyo CRYSTA-Apex V 574 CMM and Gagemaster optical comparator. First-article and in-process inspection are available depending on the job and customer requirements.
We work with aluminum, tool steels, stainless steels, low-carbon alloys, nickel alloys, copper and bronze alloys, plastics, and composites. If you don't see your material listed, send us the print and ask.
Yes. We also have in-house TIG welding and brazing, pressing and bending, surface grinding, bandsaws, and assembly capabilities.
We're located at 118 Augusta Lane in Whitney, Pennsylvania, between Latrobe and Greensburg in Westmoreland County and roughly 40 miles east of Pittsburgh. We work with customers throughout Western Pennsylvania and can ship parts outside the region as well.
